From the Cornerstone Class:
All scripture, we are assured, is God-breathed. Yet, in its holiness, it meets us where we are in our brokenness. How many times have you needed a word of reassurance and opened the Bible randomly only to find a verse that exquisitely fits your need? Such moments are not coincidence; they are divine. It should not surprise us, then, to realize that scripture is the most beautiful reminder of what Christmas is.
Christmas is proof of God’s extravagant love: “For God SO loved the world, He gave His only begotten son.” (John 3:16)
Christmas is a reminder of His presence: “I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20)
Christmas is reassurance of grace extended to us: “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions.. and remembers your sin no more.” (Isaiah 43:25)
No presents on earth can ever compete with these gifts we find in the pages of our Bibles!
